In this regards India assists 20% of the livestock population of the world covering 2.3% geographical area. Moreover, the livestock sector contributes almost 32% of agriculture output in India. Basically, fodder is required to feed livestock. But presently India is facing huge deficit of fodder and it is projected that in future also the deficits of fodder will continue.
